Beach Walk 2000 Updated 08-02-01

The sixth Coton de Tulear beachwalk took place at the beach Langevelderslag nearby Noordwijkerhout. After a loud welcome from 15 Cotons and their bosses at the car park, we began at the first part of the walk. This part took us through the dunes. The dogs were kept on the leash. The weather was beautiful. Out of the wind it was nicely warm.

We kept up a smart pace, so it seemed after a while. The forward part of the group had built up a rather lead to the rest. Waiting for a while and the connection with the rest was made, we'd cheerfully carried on. Before we could reach the beach, we had to climb a large dune. This was much more easy for the dogs than for their bosses. At last there was the beach.

The Cotons were unleashed and they jumped into the water. Some of them remain in the water on their bellies for a while; it kept them cool. The best part of all was that the all of the dog could get along fine with each other. After walking at the beach for some time we entered a nudist beach. And the weather was so nice…………

We deceided to go back. At the last part of the beach it was rather crowded, so the dogs were kept on the leash. Leaving the beach and arriving at the restaurant the bosses could rest, have a drink and have something to eat. There was water for the dogs.

It was very pleasant, the weather was fine and the dogs were very nice. I'm looking out for next year.
